(b. 1998) is a graduate of Pratt Institute, where she earned her BFA in Painting. She currently lives and works as a teacher and figurative oil painter in Somerville, MA. Her work explores the questions: What does it feel like when two internal feelings are butting up against each other? What does it feel like when there are two sides to yourself, or you’re trying to get back to a previous version of yourself? What is it when two people connect, whether closely or distantly, and how can you describe how two minds and two bodies meet and touch? Her work focuses on the relationships between beings, and on visual and emotional symmetry, often through compositions of mirrored or touching bodies that frequently include representations of collected objects. She seeks to uncover the intricacies within these connections through the contrasts found between them: living and inanimate, eye contact or averted gazes, and closeness or distance between figures.
